Cushion Makeover

I had these cushions from Ikea.   The fabric was cute...but I wanted a little more sophistication for the dining room chairs.  I actually had this great fabric from Anna Maria Horner in my stash just waiting for the right thing. 

 I made the covers "envelope style"  on the back so I could just slip them off for washing.

Scrap Scarves

We made Scrap Scarves from Diana Rupp's SEW Everything Book.  I'm not sure these will actually be worn, but they had a LOT of fun choosing the squares and putting them together!

The Cousins Had A Birthday

Beckett and Guinevere both turned one on October 26th and November third respectively.  I made them some crowns, and balls, and Guin also got 2 dresses and a blouse.  And Aunt Kyle made Beckett his own family crest!  How cool is that?  She silkscreened the ninja part of it onto some pants for him and is going to put the whole crest on a jacket for him.  But best of all is the open-mouthed cake kiss I got from my boy!!!

 

Little Bloodsuckers

I didn't want to make a baby vampire cape.  I actually went to the store to buy one but they were so ugly and cheap and floppy that, well, I had to make one!  Zander ditched us for his friends this year but at least they stopped for some candy.
