The Envelope Please...

I made 2 new envelope pillow covers for the couch out of this Echino fabric from Purl.  I LOVE the pigs!  On the back I used some linen and believe it or not I found a PIG stitch on my Viking Designer SE so I pigged out along the edge of the envelope.  

Mira's loss...

...is the tooth fairy's gain! She lost her first tooth the other night. I made her a little tooth fairy pillow with her name on it and a pocket on the back for her tooth, and any cash the generous fairy wants to leave behind. Mira and Violet wrote out a letter to the T.F. And Violet drew a picture of her on the back. This morning Mira found her tooth gone and in the pocket was a fiver and a note explaining that Mira's tooth was going to be the T.F.'s daughter's desk chair! She also found a Littlest Pet Shop bunny under her pillow and an additional five dollars from her sister! Wow! What a boon!

Urchin Beret

I don't know what my problem was with this hat.  I started and frogged it about 10 times because I kept ending up with the wrong amount of stitches after the first yarn over row.  I finally just covered my ears and shouted the ABC song and kept going, ignoring stitch count.  Then it was too big.  So I hand washed it.  Still too big.  So I put it in the dryer for a bit.  And then someone put other stuff in the dryer and it went on a bit longer.  So it's kind of felted and kind of wrong, but hey, now it fits!  The pattern is from Twinkle's Weekend Knits and if you want to see what it looks like when someone does it well, go here.

The yarn I used was Blue Sky Bulky Naturals.  The color is Brown Bear.
