From the book Sew What! Bags by Lexie Barnes. This is the City Satchel. I added some heavy duty interfacing between layers on the front and back for structure. Though, the pattern said lining it was optional, I didn't feel it would be finished without it, and it was easy enough to do. The instructions were very clear and well thought out. The strap was a bit long for me so I folded it over at the shoulder and stitched it. All in all, I'm very pleased with it!

I saw this on Flickr and decided to head on over to your blog. So cute! Would you mind sharing what that blue fabric is? It's so beautiful.

Thanks so much Sara and Angela. Sarah, I thought I responded to your post ages ago but maybe I didn't? Anyway, that fabric is called Blue Mondo, I wish I could remember the manufacturer. I can't find any more of it anywhere, though I think other colorways may still be available. I also used it to cover 2 folding chairs. You can see how I did it in the archives. Thanks again!
