I'm trying to get back to organized. I have a lot of fabric that either I bought too much of, was given to me, or I'm just tired of looking at so I'm giving some away. If you don't already know of her, Sister Diane is an amazing crafter/bloggerpodcaster...the genius at work behind Crafty Pod. Not long ago I had the privilege of taking her first Craft Blog Tune-Up Class. Diane helped me focus the content of my blog posts and gave me ideas on how to make them more personal without feeling I’d revealed too much. She also went out of her way to help me figure out some technical issues I was having, even though that was not on the course menu! I learned a wide variety of helpful photography tips and learned how to be a more contributing member of the blog community. I hope to implement more of the wonderful ideas she gave me in the coming year.
And now she's offering it again! I highly recommend this class, so if she still has room, jump on it. If not, get yourself on a waiting list. Even experienced bloggers will benefit from Diane's wealth of knowledge and her generous desire to help you.

The red and white striped fabric I used for the binding is by Michael Miller...I love the candy cane effect it offers.
This is the first time I've quilted with these wavy lines and these pics are pre-washing so it may look quilte different later on.

A little gingerbread village from a kit we got at Target. I'm not much of a baker and really, do people actually eat gingerbread houses? Anyway, fun was had in making these.
The only reason Beckett has grapes on his is because he kept eating all the candy I gave him and I had to stop him somehow!

Yes, I bought it for myself, but I feel the same excitement opening up a box of ordered fabric as I do on Christmas morning.
The anticipation of finally seeing the colors in person, feeling the weight of it in my hand, the way it just sits there...plump with possibilites.
Just as good as a wrapped gift with something completely surprising inside. Sometimes...better.

The paper boats absolutely kill me. And birds on the birch trees are from the same fabulous designer, Isabelle. Check out all her designs. I love them all.
The yellow flower fabric is by Caitlin Youngquist. Again...no brainer...had to have it.
The groovy waves are by Kari Kail.
Now these are from another package from Pink Chalk Fabrics. I don't know if you can tell from my photo but those are hands on a baseball bat and red balls. The bicycles are even more unbearably cute in person.
I'm even excited by these Kaufman Kona solids in Snow, Eggplant, and Coal. What a geek I've become. Are you with me?

I forgot to show you our Halloweenishness. We were all pirates, except for Zander. Mira and Violet made some candy bags to go with their pirate outfits. We didn't make anything else. We bought. Violet decided to be a Zombie Pirate and put white face all over herself, as you can see. I like the red ric rac she chose to use as a handle on her bag.
