We have done other swaps at LAMQG meetings but this one has been my favorite thus far. Each participant brought in a small baggie of scraps. The reciever could add ONE fabric from their stash and make anything they wanted to return to their person. Our names were drawn randomly and oddly, Terri and I got each other! I was thrilled because Terri is an amazing sewist.
Here is what I made for Terri:

I used the Cosmetics Pouch pattern from I Heart Patchwork. The fabric I added was the Lecien grey polka dot which I also used for the lining.

And here is what Terri made me! I hope you can see how beautiful it is. It's been very rainy and hard to get a good picture. The navy fabric is what she added. I love it.
She even put a zipper in the back.
It was so exciting to see all the AMAZING things people made with the scraps they got. You can see what Alissa made here, what Kelly and Kelli made here.
It was also our one year anniversary! Emily has a post with a picture of all of us present at the latest meeting. And we were ALL supposed to be making a funny face, not JUST me! Although it was my idea---I thought people were on board! Latifah gave out some awards which was really sweet and funny. See what I got?
The white rolled up thread catcher was made by Latifah...one for EVERYONE! She is awesome, I tell you!
Plus there were door prizes donated by members and local businesses. I won a queen size package of batting! Yay!
